Bike Friendly Cafes/Brew Stops in the Ingleton Area

Ingleton Tea Shops/Cafes

Spoilt for Choice!  There are several in the centre of the village, here are some of our personal favourites:

Frumenty & Fluffin - only a couple of tables so not good for large groups but the soups, sandwiches, scones & cakes are unbelievably delicious.  Very good for taking out pack lunches, energy boosting cakes etc.

Curlew Crafts - plenty of tables and bikes can be parked around the back.  Particularly fine scones.

Inglesport Cafe - again plenty of tables and bikes can be parked around the back (locks can be provided).  Fab for relaxed full cooked breakfasts at any time of the day & other wholesome grub.  Very popular with cycle groups.  Cycle spares available in the shop downstairs.

Falls Cafe - not surprisingly located at the start of the Waterfalls Walk, a short walk from the village centre.  Plenty of space to park bikes and lots of inside & outside seating.  Small playground for children so you may get to enjoy your coffee in peace!

Bernies Cafe - a cavers' institution.  Again good for fully fry-ups etc

Here are some that are a pleasant cycle ride away from Ingleton:

Elaine's Tea Rooms aka 'Feizor Cafe'

Located in Feizor (can't be missed, only about 20 houses in the village) just off the Penine Bridleway.  Excellent bacon butties and carrot cake.  Plenty of space to leave bikes.
Cartledge Bacon Barmomoter rating - 10/10.

Woodies Tea Stop

On the Lancaster cycleway near Halton (LA2 6LZ).  Couldn't enjoy a brew with a better view!  Also does good bacon barms etc

Stone Jetty Cafe

Enjoy simple food with a backdrop of the Lakeland Hills, after a cycle ride to Morecambe.

Ireby Farm Cafe

A welcome new addition between Ingleton & Kirkby Lonsdale is Ireby Farm Cafe with good visibility of bikes outside the cafe window.

Cariad Cafe, Kirkby Lonsdale

Kirkby Lonsdale is a great stopping off point for various rides and the Cariad is deservedly popular with cyclists.
